Chinese Studies is an interdisciplinary minor that is designed to foster an in-depth understanding of China, both as a historical tradition and as a modern nation with a wide-ranging sphere of influence.

In order to read Chinese philosophical texts in their original language, I went to Taiwan on the Tan Chin Tuan Chinese Language Scholarship. I believe that in-depth knowledge about China in various domains will be an advantage in any career choice.

I major in Economics and minor in Chinese studies. Thanks to the Tan Chin Tuan Chinese Language Scholarship, I was lucky to learn Chinese for two months in Beijing. There, I not only learned Chinese, but also truly immersed myself in Chinese culture.
